Security Awareness Training
All companies have a duty of care to their employees. Control Risks helps them fulfil this duty of care with a wide range of training solutions for staff travelling to or working in unfamiliar, medium or high risk countries. Our training enables staff to confidently prepare for travel and operate more safely and effectively once they arrive.
All courses are run specifically for individual clients, either at a location of their choice or in our UK training school. If unprepared, there can be as great a risk to personnel in seemingly lower risk countries than in environments with more obvious inherent direct threats. In each case, training is tailored to reflect each client’s countries and areas of travel, the main potential threats and risks, and their operating procedures in the country.
Our courses are taught by a highly qualified and experienced team of instructors, many of whom have a Special Forces background and are selected for their breadth of knowledge and operational experience.
We offer a wide range of training modules which can be packaged together if needed: for example working with private security details, defensive and evasive driving skills, basic medical skills and surveillance awareness.
Wherever possible, courses blend interactive lectures, discussion exercises and scenarios, and demanding, realistic practical training to test key learning points. Courses last from two to five days and their content is enhanced by up-to-date country-specific briefings from our analyst team.
An outline list of courses is as follows:
- Hostile environment and security awareness training
- Security management and consultancy
- Contractors on Deployed Operations Training (for individuals deploying in support of the British military to the middle-east and Afghanistan)
