Counter Piracy Operations
We have highly trained teams who deliver onboard security: they advise, review, detect and delay before defending. Risk factors are always assessed when determining the composition of the teams and whether they are armed or not. Any measures taken will be fully commensurate with the threat.
Control Risks has provided 2,500,000 man-days of armed security services and 1,000 days of transit security services.
We have a reputation for applying the highest standards of ethics and professionalism and have numerous accreditations with international bodies and flag states which validate our procedures and approach. Control Risks has recently been awarded the ISO Certificate 28000 - ISO PAS 28007, specifically designed for Private Maritime Security Companies as a pilot applicant for this scheme. The company has also been duly authorised by the Panama Maritime Authority to act as a Recognised Private Security Company and as a Private Ship Security Company by the Republic of Cyprus Department of Merchant Shipping. Control Risks has been technically audited and approved in compliance with the minimum requirements established by the International Maritime Organization (IMO) in the MSC.1/Circ.1405/Rev.1 of 16 September 2011 and in accordance with the provisions of Panama Authority Resolution No. 106-13-DGMM of 8 March 2012.
