AFRICA RISKWATCH – ISSUE 6 – JUNE 2016

Welcome to Control Risks' Africa RiskWatch Newsletter

37%

By the end of 2016 Control Risks expects a 37% rise in the severity of cyber attacks targeting industrial control systems. While in East Africa governments are the most likely target for cyber attacks (33%), telecommunications (22%) and oil and gas and financial services (each 17%) follow shortly after.

This 6th edition of Control Risks’ Africa RiskWatch newsletter is published just a week before we host members of Control Risks' dedicated cyber team in Nairobi to discuss with key stakeholders and clients the impact of the increase in cyber attacks on East African businesses and how they can protect themselves. The key is not to only focus on the breach itself, but on analysing in advance what might be the most likely threats to your company.
